This bike is designed specifically for the modern rider who wants one vehicle that can cover almost all the bases. The Sport Glide has the look and smooth performance of a cruiser and the power and agility of a touring bike. And here at Roughneck Harley-Davidson, we have the Sport Glide in our showroom right now. Stop by today to check it out for yourself or take it for a test ride. We serve the areas of Longview, Tyler, Hallsville, and Marshall, Texas.

Redesigned Softail Frame

The Sport Glide is part of the Softail line of motorcycles, which means you get all the benefits of owning a Softail chassis. As many enthusiasts will tell you, the benefit of a Softail chassis is its unique look and superior performance. This is because they rely on the singular Softail hidden monoshock rear suspension which translates to cleaner lines and better handling. But the Sport Glide takes it a step further. You’ll also get a frame that’s 34% stiffer and an overall lighter bike. This means the Sport Glide is more responsive and easier to control, even on the hardest lines and the sharpest angles. But even though the Sport Glide is lighter than previous Softail models, the high performance suspension makes it possible to haul extra cargo for longer trips without shirking on the smoothness of your ride.

Milwaukee-Eight Engine

And with a new bike comes a brand new engine. The Sport Glide features the all-new Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, Harley-Davidson’s latest engineering accomplishment with over a century of experience running its gears. Spend just a few moments on this bike and you’ll feel the massive torque you get from the engine. Spend a few more moments and you’ll see this electronically fuel injected V-Twin engine goes from 0-60 mph and 60-80 mph faster than previous Softail models. It’s also completely counterbalanced to take off some of the shaky vibrating edge without getting rid of the bike’s signature growl. The engine is also slimmed down to fit perfectly into the sleeker Sport Glide model.

Touring Ready

But as we mentioned earlier, the Sport Glide was made for those who need a bike that can do a little bit of everything. The lightweight frame makes it ideal for commuting, but also makes touring easier because of the agility of the bike and the easier handling. It’s perfect for those riders who don’t live on the road and would like something that doesn’t take so much energy to control. And to make your life even easier, the mini-fairing takes off some of the headwind that you’ll experienced at higher speeds and often lead to total exhaustion at the end of the day. Plus, the low-vibration Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine creates an easier, smoother ride to keep you happy all day. The Sport Glide also comes standard with hard-side locking saddlebags to keep any extra cargo you bring along safe. If you need to lose a little weight for easier commuting over short distances, the saddlebags and the mini-fairing are easily removable. No matter where your day takes you, the Sport Glide will get you there.

Technology with Style

Finally, the Sport Glide also includes some of the latest in motorcycle technology and the best styling choices. The Sport Glide comes standard with the LED forward-lighting system and keyless ignition. And while all Harley-Davidson bikes are customizable, the Sport Glide gets you started with blacked out Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, blacked out mufflers, and Mantis cast aluminum wheels. You’ll have a modern bike for a modern rider.

The Sport Glide is the latest addition to the Harley-Davidson motorcycle line. It’s got exactly what you need in a motorcycle to keep up with your busy, diverse lifestyle. Here at Roughneck Harley-Davidson, we’re excited to show you this new and exceptional motorcycle. Stop by today to take a look for yourself and take it for a test ride.
